Swine Flu
We've been receiving many enquiries from members concerned about swine flu, so have the following advice:
Members should follow the standard advice for swine flu.
If anyone becomes symptomatic they should follow the advice from NHS direct (http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/, or 0845 4647) and if they are advised to, they should take Tamiflu. (There isn't a vaccination for Swine flu yet)
AYMEs medical adviser says that 'if you do contract Swine Flu we would expect it to be similar to normal flu in that it may make your CFS/ME symptoms worse for a bit. If you have been given advice about setbacks and flares - this would be the time to use it.'.
